I have been using microsoft word since middle school. I had a tehnology class in both middle and high school where we learned each tool and how to use them properly. This is one of my favorties to write on, I also realy like Google docs because of the autosave feature. Microsoft word is easy to ujse and it's useful having the wod count shown at the bottom at all times.
The most meaningful standard to me is the one where "educators seek out opportunities for leadership to support student empowerment and success and to improve teaching and learning." I think this is the most important because students need someone in which they may look up to or just be able to learn from. I think a teacher showing leadership empowers students to also want to be leaders. Advocating for the best needs for all students is something I comepletely agree with becuase all students should have equal oppurtunities and accomadations when needed.
A digital native is someone that was introduced to technology early and has become experienced with it. I don't disagree with today's youth being called digital natives because they have been using technology for so long its second-hand to them. I think for the most part my teachers and I use technology in similar ways. I think my future students will solely be using computes in classrooms as we are already moving from paper to computer.
Do you think you will be able to lead your students to use more advanced technologies in your classroom? How are you going to keep up with new technologies as a teacher?
