I chose the standard LAFS.910. L.3.4 from grades 9-10. The standard's purpose is for students to know the meaning of a word or phrase based off of context clues. This is an essential standard because we often see words we may not be familiar with therefore students should know how to use context clues to have an idea to what the words may mean. I do feel that I am able to implement this task as I’ve done it often by making myself familiar with sentence structures as well as context clues.   The Instructional Resources tool in the English section of grades 9-12 is one I would use in my own classroom. Being that this is a time that students can be preparing for the next level of education knowing how to write an essay can take them a long way. Not just knowing how to write an essay but knowing the elements and exactly what specific writing techniques spice up your writing. The tool has various resources that would teach students the do's and don’ts of writing a good paper. ...

Copy right is using the work of someone else without their permission. Once a piece of work is published by someone it become copy righted. To use the work of someone else you must ask for permission. There are exceptions to Copy right found under the Fair Use policy. The fair use policy allows exceptions to the rule such as parodies, comments, researching, reporting, and teaching.   Technology implementation issues such as cyber bullying and decreased productivity are things that would be addressed in my future classroom. Cyber bullying is something I would not tolerate. Cyber bullying could cause students to not want to perform in class at all. Decreased productivity is another factor that I would address. Switching from paper to computers shouldn't mean that students do less work. I would expect to see the same if not better productivity from students.   I learned many things working on the newspaper assignment. I learned how to make a banner using the Canva website...
I have been using microsoft word since middle school. I had a tehnology class in both middle and high school where we learned each tool and how to use them properly. This is one of my favorties to write on, I also realy like Google docs because of the autosave feature. Microsoft word is easy to ujse and it's useful having the wod count shown at the bottom at all times. The most meaningful standard to me is the one where "e ducators seek out opportunities for leadership to support student empowerment and success and to improve teaching and learning." I think this is the most important because students need someone in which they may look up to or just be able to learn from. I think a teacher showing leadership empowers students to also want to be leaders. Advocating for the best needs for all students is something I comepletely agree with becuase all students should have equal oppurtunities and accomadations when needed. A digital native is someone that was introduced to t...

My name is Jamauri Denson. I am from Jacksonville, Fl and graduated from Saint Augustine High School. I am now attending Florida State University where I am studying education and economics. My career of choice is teaching as through person experience I know how impactful a strong influential teacher can be to a student’s confidence and success. My end goal for education is to become a principal so Incan inspire as many young minds as possible. In high school, I took an AP Statistics course. In that class we had a smart board where we would often have to write answers. This was a tool I had not used before and it was helpful in learning material through it’s various features. One of the most helpful features was the layer tool that allowed the teacher to write her notes on different students’ answers so we were able to know whether or not we were on the right track and how to keep going though steps of problem solving. One resource I have found endlessly helpful in supporting my l...
